BALLOON Sconce

“Balloon” is a wall sconce conceived as a sculptural object rather than a simple source of illumination.

It is born from a dialogue between materials; Hand-blown glass, lacquered textured plastic, and precision crafted metal. Each one lending its own voice to a quietly poetic composition to create a harmonious interplay of form, light and surface.

At the heart of “Balloon” is its hand-blown glass shade. When lit, the glass reveals its subtle beauty: Soft reflections, shifting transparencies, and the tender glow that only handmade glass can offer. Each piece is handmade, making every sconce slightly unique, with small variations that testify to the craft behind it.

Contrasting the glossiness of the glass is the lacquered component. A textured, stone-like form that appears to float weightlessly in front of the light, giving the piece its name “Balloon”. The visual tension between heaviness and lightness, is central to the design.

“Balloon” is offered in distinct colorways, each expressing a different personality:

•Pink glass, highlights the internal structure, celebrating the clarity and purity of the blown form. •White glass, emphasizes the patterning on the surface, offering glimpses of the inner components in a diffused, subtle way. •Anthracite _ Blue glass has a deeper tone, which conceals the internal structure almost entirely, focusing attention on the silhouette and the floating lacquered form.
